*** Robin Zander of Cheap Trick turns 56 today. We chose "Surrender", which also is appropriate for our Flashback Friday feature.

*** Another birthday provided us the inspiration for our 80's Escape choice. Anita Pointer of The Pointer Sisters turned 61 today.

As tempting as it was to play "Neutron Dance", I went in a different direction, mainly because every time I hear that song, it reminds me of junior high when we had to dance to that song -- among many others -- in gym class.

Yeah, we had a dance segment in our P.E. class.

Other songs that make me cringe because they unleash similar memories include "You're The Inspiration" by Chicago, and "Islands In The Stream" by Kenny and Dolly.

Our backup choice was "Automatic"
