*** Faithful listener Roger Turman emailed a song request for his wife, Demetra's birthday today - "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison.

Sabrina and Jonathan also were a part of the wish, and we honored that request by playing the classic this morning.




*** Sarah Dallin of Bananarama turns 47 today. For the 80's Escape today, we played a song, and "Venus" was its name.

It was a back and forth battle for me in 1986 trying to figure out which girl group was the most pleasing to the eye: Bananarama, The Bangles, or the Go-Go's. Dallin might be sad to learn that since The Bangles had Susanna Hoffs, and the Go-Go's had Belinda Carlisle, Bananaram usually finished a distant 3rd.

I'm sure she's over it.
