Show Biz: Tuesday 12/02/08

*** Happy birthday to Britney Spears. Jay mentioned today that it seems like Britney's been in the spotlight for a long time, despite her just turning 27 today.

Well, hard to believe as it is, she's been around for over a decade.

She hit the big time with "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" in 1997. Now she's back with the inevitable comeback album, which hits stores today, and possible tour next year.

She's also on the cover of this week's Rolling Stone. Spears may be just 27, relatively young, but as I mentioned this morning, there's a lot of mileage on those tires.

Even though Britney's birthday is fairly significant in the music world, we went with a bit of a curve ball today for the musical selection.

Nelly Furtado turns 30 today, and our musical tie-in was Furtado's "Say It Right"
