*** Billy Joe Armstrong, the singer from Green Day, has a birthday today. Their song from a couple of years ago that appeared in heavy rotation on WJDK should be the anthem for Cub fans this year, "Wake Me Up When September Ends."
I see no reason the Cubs won't win the NL Central by about 43 games this year. Of course, it's October that matters, so when September ends, Cub fans can wake up just in time for their annual nightmare.
